Lakeland Community Care provides a number of services to care for the elderly.

Services

LCC provides a care-worker to take over the role of the family carer during the overnight period to allow the carer to have a night of uninterrupted sleep.

Waking Night Help Services

Specialist services providing individually planned relief programmes for carers of dementia sufferers. These services are usually provided in the form of a morning, an afternoon or evening to enable the family carer to have a break.

Dementia Services

Designed to assist very highly dependent people either to remain in their own home or to return home from hospital or residential care.

Intensive Domiciliary Support Schemes

Designed to meet the needs of people who require short inputs of service during the night. The care-workers call at a pre-arranged time usually to assist the client with personal care. Care-workers make up to 20 calls per night to vulnerable adults.

Mobile Night Help Services

Designed to provide a flexible, practical service to individuals to help them meet their housing needs and to live independently at home. LCC is accredited with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive to provide Floating Support Services.

Supporting People services

Plays a central role in the range of services provided by LCC with comprehensive programmes of training including; induction training, manual handling, first aid, food hygiene, dementia care and NVQ Level II & III.

Through our staff we provide more than 2,000 hours of care services - every week, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - supporting more than 400 clients.

Can I Care?

Our staff come from all works of life, all age groups, all genders and all sorts of backgrounds. At LCC we are interested in working in partnership with our staff to create the sort of role that suits them and helps them focus on the people who use our services.
